All Choked Up

This 90s craze is making a comeback this year. The choker is debuting in a variety of ways including leather, velvet, lace, charms, or chains. It gives a feminine edge to even the simplest looks. No matter what your style flavor is, the choker can appeal to all style appetites.

Versatile and easy to wear, there are numerous ways to don a choker. For a simpler look that doesn’t scream throwback try a solid color band or layer thin band chokers to add interest to a minimal look.

For a formal affair, pair a stylish choker with a plunging neckline for a more alluring look. Choose a choker with accents of metallic colors or sparkly charms.

Don’t forget about a ready to wear office look, by wearing a type choker with pearls or black lace.

Lastly, for a DIY approach on the trend, you can take a simple black ribbon and wrap it around your neck. We’ve even seen risk takers find black shoelaces and tie a bow at the front or tie a knot for a bolero-like choker.

Whether you’re for it or against it, there’s no denying they’ll give any outfit a more daring and edgy look.
